Terms Entered in Search
When a visitor types a name, location, or other term into a search tool, the query is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Allegheny County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may process the query under its separate privacy terms, which should be reviewed before submitting information.
Messages Sent to Us
An email or contact submission may contain a name, return address, and anything else the sender chooses to include. Those messages are retained as needed to read the request, respond, and maintain a reasonable record of the exchange. They are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law. Visitors should not send sensitive custody, medical, payment, or identity documents through a general message.
Technical Visit Data
Routine server, analytics, and advertising systems can record technical information when a page loads. These records help identify errors, measure use, secure the service, and understand how visitors reach Allegheny release-information pages. The data can include:

Personal data is not sold by Allegheny County Released Inmates. Limited information may still pass to service providers that perform a requested or necessary function:

- Analytics providers that measure visits and page performance
- Advertising networks that deliver and assess advertisements
- Law-enforcement agencies or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Each recipient receives only the information involved in its role or required by the applicable legal demand. A search partner necessarily receives the query needed to return its result.
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard administrative and technical practices are used to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or misuse. No website, network, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed breach-proof. Allegheny County Released Inmates therefore cannot promise absolute security for information sent, received, or held online. Visitors should limit submissions to what is reasonably needed.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or legal guardian who believes a minor submitted personal data may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
